Connecticut’s Loss

29 09 2008

No one outside of Paul Newman’s family and friends is more grieved at the passing of “The King of Cool” than The CuT. Not only was Newman, handsome and talented, he did a lot of good in the world…and in Connecticut in particular. Up in Ashford The Whole in the Wall Gang brings hope to kids, thanks to Newman. Down in Westport, the playhouse has thrived, in large part because of Newman’s participation, along with his lovely wife. And let’s not forget all the money his Newman’s Own products have raised for charities. (When the Prissy Bitch inquired about a possible Charitable Donation from The Dressing Room, they were very polite and informed her that their charitable contributions were, regrettably, limited to $10k a month…that’s a lot of money, folks.)

Paul Newman was a class act, whiling away his days in sleepy Westport rather than in Beverly Hills.  Connecticut doesn’t get to claim many real stars as one of their own, and Newman will surely be missed.
