I don’t know about you folks, but my idea of a good time often includes hanging out and getting liquored up with my family before shooting off firearms in a densely populated residential area. So, I was a bit surprised to find out that one can be arrested for such a thing.
Police were called to 29 Palm St. at approximately 8 p.m. after receiving a report that Martin Eldridge, 49, had fired a handgun outside his residence while he and other family members were in his backyard drinking alcohol. Police said that Eldridge was highly intoxicated and had gotten into a domestic dispute earlier in the evening.
Isn’t it just shocking that our constitutional rights have been so compromised that a man cna’t shoot a handgun off in his own front yard without ending up in a stand-off with police?
