And I thought getting my shorts stolen was bad…MIDDLEBURY — – A Cheshire police officer has been accused of using his ex-wife’s credit card to register on the dating website eHarmony.com, the Waterbury Republican-American reported.

Robert Anderson, 38, was arrested Saturday and is due in Waterbury Superior Court on Wednesday on a misdemeanor charge of illegal use of a credit card. Police said he ran up charges of $119, the Republican-American reported.

Cheshire police declined to comment on any pending investigations or internal actions the department may take against Anderson, the newspaper reported.
