Meet CT’s Next Father of the Year

It’s happened to all of us, right? You find yourself in line at the gas station thinking, “Did I set my parking break?” Or in this gentleman’s case, perhaps you find yourself at a street fight, primed to kick some ass, thinking, “Did I leave a baby in the car, AND forget to set the parking break?” WFSB.com reprorts:

Branford police arrested Douglas Trofatter, 22, of Branford, around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Trofatter confronted and became involved in a fight with another man over a domestic dispute. Police said Trofatter jumped out of a vehicle in a parking lot on West Main Street that contained his 8-month-old child. However, police said Trofatter forgot to set the parking brake inside the vehicle and it began to roll away.

Police said the vehicle traveled 50 feet before it hit another vehicle and came to a stop.

Father of the Year contender? We think so!
