History: Morris — which we honestly didn’t really know existed — was founded in 1869 after being the South Farms Parish of Litchfield for a while before that. It was named after a Revolutionary War soldier that opened an academy — the remains of which are now next to an elementary school where kids, no doubt, are haunted by the ghost of a creepy old soldier.
Something Weird: This happened “The argument allegedly started when the woman went outside to ask Gamache a question while he was working. He pushed her to the ground, the woman said. He grabbed a handful of dirt, shoved it into her mouth and said “eat dirt,” according to court records.”
