History: There isn’t much history to speak of, which is weird when you consider the place it’s named after. What history it does have is religious. It’s home to the country’s first theological seminary and home to the Regina Laudis Monastery. Apparently, a bunch of women wandered into Bethlehem and someone named Lauren Ford took them into her home.
Something Weird: Not surprisingly, Bethlehem considers itself to be Connecticut’s Christmas Town. They have a festival on the town green and you should probably avoid the post office in December — because loons flock there to get specials stamps on their Christmas cards.
