It’s a weird day in Connecticut.
It’s not even Halloween yet and it’s already snowing, and there’s been another Mountain Lion spotted roaming (this time by an Animal Control Officer so the DEEP isn’t just pretending it didn’t happen). While the snow and ice are falling in the northern part of the state, the cougar is prowling the shoreline (or at least I think that’s where East Haddam is).
Anyway you look at it, it’s clear that this is going to be a crazy winter. We’re all gonna be snowbound and at the mercy of hungry mountain lions. You should probably all start breeding some sort of cougar-fighting dog — you know, like maybe a mix of a German shepherd, Rhodesian ridgeback, and a mastiff. And you can raise them around mean ass cats so they learn how to fight wily felines. Without one of these fearsome beasts to protect you, it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll be eaten by a mountain lion while shoveling your driveway this winter…especially if you live in Simsbury.
