We’ve been looking for an excuse — even a flimsy one — to tie Connecticut to Whitney Houston’s death…and now we’ve found it. Apparently, Bobby Brown is supposed to be performing at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, which also happens to be the day of Whitney’s funeral.
We found it hard to believe anyone would pay to see Bobby Brown perform… and we were right. He’s actually performing with the rest of New Edition. We’re still not sure why anyone would pay to see that, unless they do some Bel Biv Devoe hits. (After all, some of the best advice I ever got was from BBD: “Never trust a big butt and smile.” Words to live by.)
We were also wondering what Bobby would do if the show conflicted with the funeral, since we’re guessing he can’t really afford to be a no-show at a paying gig. It turns out, though, the show doesn’t start until 8 p.m., long after the funeral.
But consider yourself warned, Connecticut. You’re gonna want to stay off the roads between Newark and Mohegan on Saturday. We’re guessing Bobby Brown isn’t the best driver.
